Spaghetti bolognese with Thai green pesto. Hi everyone, this is one of my latest vegan and gluten-free inventions: a low fat (oil free), healthy yet tasty pesto with spaghetti. Yep, Chinese Spaghetti Bolognese, ground beef in a delicious and silky Chinese-style brown sauce. The name popped into my head as I was making this dish for the family.

  1. Prepare 2 tbsp of vegetable or olive oil.
  2. Prepare 1 of small onion (finely chopped).
  3. It's 1 of carrot (finely chopped).
  4. Prepare 2 tbsp of celery (finely chopped).
  5. Prepare 2-3 clove of garlic (finely chopped).
  6. Prepare 2-3 tsp of dry oregano.
  7. You need 2 of bay leaves.
  8. You need 500 g of minced beef/pork.
  9. You need 1 tin of tomato.
  10. Prepare 2 tbsp of tomato paste.
  11. It's 2 tbsp of tomato sauce.
  12. You need 2 tbsp of Sriracha sauce.
  13. Prepare 2 tbsp of oyster sauce.
  14. Prepare 1 of oxo cube.
  15. It's 1-2 tbsp of finely chopped red chilli.
  16. You need 1-2 of มะเขือเทศใหญ่.
  17. You need 2-4 of basil leaves for garnish.
  18. Prepare 2-3 tbsp of Thai green pesto (check out my recipe) or you can use normal green pesto.
  19. You need 200 g of spaghetti per person.

Since my childhood spaghetti bolognese has always been one of my favorite dishes ever.   3. Add some fresh tomato, dry oregano and sriracha sauce in and mix well. You can add some water in a ittle bit if the sauce become too dry. Leave it to simmer about 20 min..
  4. Add water and 1 tsp water into a small size saucepan, bring it to boil. Add some spaghetti in and let it cook for about 15-18 min. Drain water off and serve on the plate..
  5. Serve your bolognese on top of spaghetti and garnish with some thai basil and top with parmesan cheese.

You can never go wrong with a basic spaghetti, but short, twisty shapes. This Lentil Bolognese Sauce is hearty with Red lentils and Mushrooms, flavors with herbs, sauce and great with Spaghetti or other pasta. I use red lentils in it as they add texture but are not overly earthy like whole lentils. Pour a kettle of boiling water into a very large pan until half full. Return to the boil, then add the potatoes and spaghetti, and a little salt.
