- Finely chop the onion, and mince the other vegetables into 5mm~1cm cubes..

I have tried tinkering with the curry powder mix over the years, and I think this particular mix is quite close to S&B version. Put vegetable oil and flour into a sauce pan with low heat, fry flour carefully not to burn until golden. Turn the heat off and chill the sauce pan with wet towel. Add curry powder and mix well to make roux. Use the store-bought curry roux mix.
