Ingredients of Grandmother's Pecan pie

  1. You need 1/2 cup of Dark Karo syrup.
  2. It's 1/2 cup of Light Karo syrup.
  3. You need 3 large of Eggs.
  4. You need 1 cup of Dark brown sugar.
  5. It's 2 tbsp of Butter, melted.
  6. You need 1 tsp of Vanilla extract.
  7. It's 1 1/2 cup of Pecan pieces.
  8. It's 1 packages of Deep dish pie crust.

Grandmother's Pecan pie step by step

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Mix together Karo syrup, eggs, brown sugar, butter, and vanilla extract in a large bowl with electric mixer.
  3. Then add the pecan pieces.
  4. Pour the mixture into the premade deep pie crust.
  5. And bake for 50-70 minutes.
  6. Cool the pie on a pie rack for 2 or more hours then put in refrigerator until you want to serve.
  7. Pretty much the same recipe as on the bottle of the Karo sryup but with a few twists... I couldn't figure out how my grandmother's pecan pies always tasted better... Then she gave me the secret, lol.
