12. You need 1 tub of whipped cream/cool whip.
13. Prepare 4 of maraschino cherries, halved, well drained.

1. cream together room temp butter and sugar..
2. add eggs and vanilla.. beat well.
3. add cocoa powder, beat again starting on low and gradually increase to high until well blended..
4. stir in flour and salt..
5. fold in chocolate chips.
6. grease a 9in. glass pie pan..
7. Pour batter in pie pan..
8. place cherries by pressing into the batter.. see photo...
9. bake at 350° for about 30-35 minutes. toothpick should come out clean and edges should be browned..
10. cool completely..
11. just before serving.. spread cool whip along the top of the pie leaving a half inch around all edges..
12. place cherries around in a decorative Manner(see photo).
13. drizzle lightly with some chocolate syrup..
14. serve!.
